which I thought I was already on since its my home network. Which makes sense since public profile prevents other devices from accessing my laptop. I've recently added like songs as local files. Out of these songs there are like 20 songs, from different "records" that just won't sync from my desktop to my iphone. I've added three screenshots as examples.
What's interesting is that all three songs that won't sync has previously been on spotify, and I've been listening to them, but is not available anymore.

So I just went into my pc, typed Firewall and it gives me as a result: WINDOWS DEFENDER FIREWALL WITH ADVANCED SECURITY. I found there was 4 of them I dont know why but only two of them in green and the others in red as blocked. Holy sheesh! If I'm in my house I just need to get the laptop on and all the offline tracks I put into my Dropbox and then they get picked up by the laptop and also downloaded onto my phone. I had the same problem as many others on here - although mine was because I changed internet providers. Under Virgin Media Local Files synced fine when I downloaded them on a mobile, but when I switched to BT it came to a grinding halt. Ok so I did everything, fixed my firewall Note: I didnt turn it off because I don't know how because bitdefender controls my firewall and I couldn't get it off so I allowed spotify and iTunes through on firewall in the main settings and in the advanced settings, turned my data OFF on my phone so it was on wifi with my computer, I then preceeded to add the files to iTunes, just using the folders because I saw most of my music was working from iTunes so I figured I would try it all, ok so the songs are in the iTunes library.
Back to spotify I added the songs to a new playlist on spotify, the songs show up in my phone but are gray, but I'm able to toggle the download switch and they started downloading fine.
I'm hoping this'll help anyone still having trouble, I was ready to throw my phone against the wall cause everything was working on pc but not the phone XD. Hello I know this is an older forum but I found a solution after looking through this formum and trying the things suggested.

I've dealt with a few issues on Spotify and have been able to find a solution for most. i've downloaded the playlist to my laptop as the app requested i do and when i try to download it on my phone is just says waiting to download. well hopefully doing them right i've tried the hotspot method, taking down the firewall, trying to download with 4g instead of wifi, and probably other things that i cant quite remember, spotify download local files to phone.
